I originally wrote this story for Children from Hard Places who oftentimes struggle with seeing their value. The intent of Dare to Dream is to help them see themselves through God’s eyes and not their own. To see how God sees them, as His Masterpiece and Unique Creation; Purposefully Designed and Intentionally Created.
It is well documented that it takes just ONE person to believe in a child or an adult to change their life forever; I found this to be true for me.
As I was writing, Dare to Dream, I came to realize that God was that ONE person for me; He changed the course and direction of my life forever!
Yes! I can say with excitement, I Dare to Dream- not my own dream, not someone else’s dream, but God’s dream.
I hope you enjoy reading: Dare To Dream!
DARE TO DREAM
For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things He planned for us long ago. (Ephesians 2:10)
“I’m not who you think I am!
I’m not who I think I am!
But I really am who God says I am!”
I’ve placed my life-like a blank canvas- on the Artist’s easel!
I’ve given Him my paints & my paint brush!
My past, present, and future are now in His Hands.
I pull my chair closer to watch the Artist paint!
Obstacles will try to distract, dissuade and discourage me;
but I will never give up pursuing His Dream for my life!
Yes! I Dare to Dream!
Not my own dream; not someone else’s dream!
But God’s Dream!
Let the Artist begin His work in me;
A new creation transformed with the stroke of His Hand.
Let Him bring to life the Masterpiece He painted even before I was born;
The one He loves, cherishes, and holds close under the shelter of His wings!
Today, I Dare To Dream that His
Masterpiece is me!
