The Path to Worthiness

Sometimes it is people with the most beautiful hearts who struggle the most with feelings of unworthiness. It is only when a person comes to understand that their true value comes not from who they are but from whose they are that the transformation to worthiness begins. I hope you enjoy “The Path to Worthiness”.

Jesus said to the people who believed in Him, “You are truly my disciples if you remain faithful to my teachings. And you will know the truth and the truth will set you free. John 8: 31 – 32

The World tells us we’re Not Good Enough and if we want to be worthy and valued we need to do something exceptional to be seen!

This need to be something more than we are becomes our focus, our idol. It takes over our Reason for Being and Purpose for Living.

We take our position on the World’s Hamster Wheel chasing worldly illusions of worthiness; all the time wishing to be more than we are.

But when we finally look up, exhausted and spent, we realize that our significance – our worth – our value, cannot be found in external worldly illusions of worthiness.

Worldly things are never really satisfying or long lasting; they may bring temporary pleasure but they are only illusions. They leave a hole in our souls that constantly needs to be refilled.

When we stop and look up we realize, our worth is found in Christ alone. And it’s not because of who we are or what we might ever do but because of who He is, an ever-present source of love-acceptance-value.

So all the time and effort we spend in trying to feel worthy; it’s only when we stop & look up, that we realize, we always were!
